We're in Terra Incognita here, folks.

A huge financial experiment on a global scale. At least Columbus had some evidence the earth was round and he'd find something. Today, there's no telling what's going to happen. Or where. Or when.

Dislocation? Maybe.

Smooth reentry into good times? Probably not.

Hyperinflation? Deflation? Both? Who knows.

All you can do is make a few sensible investments and try to respond as events unfold. As the Hasidim say, no action is also an action.

Place your bets.

I think that and the fact that the Japanese do not have the same heavy debt burden, at least consumers don't, makes a difference.
