To: Thomas M. who wrote (2113 ) 4/18/2003 7:44:20 PM From: Shawn Donahue Respond to of 3592 God flooded the entire earth to destroy all flesh, and only saved 8, he destroyed two entire cities, and only 3 were saved, etc... so why is it so hard for you to understand that life is not about numbers of people, "as many are called, but few are chosen". We are to "Submit ourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king or supreme[President];" "Or to governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well." "For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:" "As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God." I Peter 2:13-16 I can certainly read the above words from God and know that we are to submit to President Bush, who sent our troops to punish the evil doers in Iraq, as this is the will of God, and that you as a free person, should not use your liberty in this country to protect you from choosing to be full of maliciousness! If you do not believe in or fear God, but seek wisdom and understanding, then you may want to start by reading Proverbs 1:7 "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction." and specifically how the Lord hates certain things that you seem to be doing: Proverbs 6:17-19..."a lying tongue,...An heart that deviseth wicked inaginations, feet (maybe we can substitute fingers that type) that be swift to run to mischief, a false witness that speaketh lies, and that soweth discord among brethren. How could any sane person believe that Saddam Hussein's men were treating an American female soldier beautifully?! It was already confirmed that she was slapped, by the man who risked his life more than once to save her...and I don't think the public should know what evil things certain men do to female prisoners, male prisoners, and their own people for that matter, as it bad enough that it happens, but may be devastating to her family and loved ones! Not that you seem to care...:-( May God bless everyone this Good Friday, and renew our faith in Jesus Christ on Easter, and to our good Jewish Neighbors Happy 7 days of Passover!!! Shawn
