For the sake of demonstration:

Using Yahoo Research's #s we get this table:

symbol this yr next yr 5yr% 5yrG Actual Actual
. growth target growth PEG target
AMAT 13 48 20 9.6 269% 35
TER -46 56 20 11.2 n/a n/a
TXN 40 70 20 14 75% 30
ALTR 34 44 30 13.2 29% 9.86
MOT 34 49 12 5.88 44% 14.96
INTC 61 79 16 12.64 29% 17.69
XLNX 49 67 20 13.4 36% 17.64

The fourth numeric column is a stock target based on the 5 yr expected
growth rate using next year's earnings figures.
The fifth column is actual earnings growth year over year.
The sixth column is actual growth rate as PE factor to generate
price target.

It seems to me that next year estimates are conservative but
understandable given the current sector outlook.

EDIT-PS - the fixed font on SI still SUCKS!
