Well put. This is the essential hypocrisy at the heart of the NeoCon ideology. It's already clear, the American military government is going to do its best, to keep the Islamists out of power. No matter what the Iraqis want. In the name of democracy and freedom. "You can choose, as long as you make the right choice."

How can the Iraqis, all Iraqis, decide that they want a fundamentalist Islamic regime without first having American-style democracy? How is this possible?
