That's because the UN is not kowtowing to American demands. Don't we consider a child gets who gets annoyed because his friends don't want to play his way immature?

This really isn't true; the UN is not behaving responsbly -- that's the problem -- as is evidenced by the developments today with respect to the lifting of sanctions.
