Anybody that can't see that the majority of the media are now administration lapdogs, are wearing blinders. The long propaganda campaign accusing the media of being "liberal" has worked. They are now all cowards about saying anything that might upset the wrong wingers. Try to be objective for one minute if you can. How much did the media probe into Bush's Texas Rangers screwing the farmers in Arlington, Tx. out of their land? How much did they probe Bush's connections to Ken Lay of Enron? His failed oil companies? His Martha Stewart-like trades? His skipping ahead of thousands of others to get into the National Guard to avoid the draft? The fact that a Bin Laden was an investor in his oil company? I'll bet that you never heard about some of these. If not, why not? MAYBE THE MEDIA ISN'T DOING THEIR JOB? I know that when I bring them up at the coffee shop, people think that I must be making this stuff up. There was no problem looking into every detail of Clinton's land deal. We cannot get accurate news here because "Rove" has complete control of our media? What he can't control he slanders (Dixie Chick style) until it loses it's credibility or organizes boycotts of sponsers. For example the times I have seen O'Reilly he spends more time berating Dan Rather than reporting news. You also realize I hope that it is not just Rove, or that Rove personally has to run around and check each story. Much of the censorship is actually performed by feeding selective information in press releases. There is a group who trade special political, legal, or financial favors and one of the perks is favorable press reporting, backed by think tank reports, and required by the the large media owners. The term "Vast Right Wing Conspiracy" has been much ridiculed and taken by the right as a preemptive badge of cohesion, but it does reveal not only the scope of organisation, but also the corruption of interlocking favors from which the members benefit.
