(two popups just in this message typing)

JDN,

Here are a few products that might take care of your popup problem:

panicware.com

stopzilla.com

nimblewaresolutions.com

BTW, I use SI's classic interface and never see any ads or popups here...

Remember the GOOD TIMES that Clinton got to enjoy? I am now convinced it was almost ENTIRELY due to the incredible expenditures made for Y2K in upgrading.

Y2K was only one small piece of it. The larger incentive for companies to spend was a fear of being Amazon'ed, after Amazon wounded some of the smaller booksellers. There was validity to this fear and need to get online, its just that it all came at once- y2k, push to get online, telecom deregulation (causing a huge land grab in telecom)... everything kindof came to a head in 98/99 and then of course... collapse.

We'll probably start to see a slow recovery pretty soon and in a few years this tech recession will be a distant memory I'd guess. I have an IP phone in my job now and it is a huge improvement over the prior world. The phone number is connected to the phone not the switch. Whereever you move, just take the phone and the number comes with you. How many people want that? Every college student for one thing, or people that move a lot, or companies. Anyway there are some new things coming, lets just cool it with the constant terror alerts and try to get back on track productivity wise again, I say.
