>>Stop patronizing them. <<

Funny. When the Northerners came down to Selma, Alabama, to help the blacks get the vote, the locals didn't want outsiders making the niggers get all uppity.

They wanted to keep things just like they were.

Wrong. I am oppose to you or others like you pushing feminism in Iraq. They need to find their own way in social issues. Stop patronizing them.

Oh?? Ask the women if they want to go back to veils and being considered the property of their husbands...

Who's pushing who?? It's seems to me that some folks who dream of the "good old days" are doing a fair amount of "pushing" themselves...

Zen and militant or fundamentalist Islam are mutually incompatible.. The more the former bends like the reed, the more the latter will try and snap it until it submits.

After all.. the very term, Islam, means "submission to god".. Nothing else can be tolerated as a viable opposition if adhered to in the most fundamental form of theocracy.

Thus, what you call "pushing", I call asserting... Especially since the further development of women's rights
is integral to creating a less aggressive society. Women have different priorities than men, namely raising and feeding their children, not waging Jihad.
