Assuming you are referring to Indira Gandhi, may I remind you that the majority of the Indian population voted for her ? It was NOT an inherited role.

Agree CB, kinda funny to see two who aren't American arguing this point.

You're right .... we'll have a female president ... we'll have a "minority" president one day .... although, in reality, we're all minorities at some point in time.

Irish Catholics were, and remain, a "minority" and we've had an Irish Catholic president.

KR may think not already having a female or "minority" president is some negative reflection on America ... what would be a negative reflection is having one simply because they are female or a "minority" ....
