Agreed... IMHO [just joe schmoe] the problem with 'American Medicine' is partly that which makes it great, but taking it too far: The reliance on 'science'. Why? Is science bad? No, but it seems to have turned into the denial of anything that isn't 'proven science' and the claim to be the only truth. This creates a massive credibility problem in the long run IMO. As with most institutions, it is the institution itself which creates the problem for great concepts.
