So you think they preferred being murdered by Saddam. OOOPS, sorry, I forgot. It never happened. Saddam was a beneficent ruler who shared his wealth with the people, treated all faiths equal and never, ever gassed the Kurds, dumped opponents in chemical vats, raped sisters of opponents and sometimes allies.

You are right again.

Get real. 500 people march and you claim that the Iraqis resent the fall of Saddam. if the iraqis resented the invasion, Baghdad would have been defended. end of story.

Your assessment is similar to saying that the war protests in the US represented the majority of US opinion, which ranged from 60-74% in favor of the military action.

loss of sovereignty? the war has been over for 10 days. the US is trying to protect the gold, money and goods of the Iraqi people for their use after they can agree on their government representation.

Thomas,

"That's a funny way of expressing the fact that the Iraqi people resent our invasion of their country and their loss of sovereignty"

I don't doubt that there are Iraqi's that are distrustful of US motives, but there nothing is that will convince me that they aren't supremely happy to see Saddam go. They will get their sovereignty back soon enough.

Tell me, are you one of those people who really believe the average Iraqi is shedding tears for their fearless ex-dictator?

..the Iraqi people resent our invasion of their country and their loss of sovereignty.

Speaking of lost sovereignity, you seem to have appointed yourself spokesman for the Iraqi nation. Even without even knowing any Iraqis, you can speak for what the Iraqi people think.
