The whole point of that debate was that until the basic life necessities have been restored in Iraq, it is futile to ask for intelligent discussions of the political process...as for social equity issues in US, you'd better not get me started on that. Let's just say that having lived in Canada and Europe I find the US food stamp...wanting.

We felt that it was wrong for any person to go hungry. That is why North Americans created the National Food Stamp program.

Can a hungry person eat the stamps as a substitue for food ? and expect to survive ?
