4 months sunk in the ocean would remove a LOT of body parts. Crabs don't care who they eat. Once the part that was weighted came off the bloated body would float. Finding the body would give the finder nightmares for years.

I read a book about ship wrecks on the Great Lakes. Bodies don't bloat and float in Lake Superior, the water's too cold. Bodies of people who have serious burns don't float either. Charred skin won't hold gasses.
