execs are given themselves perks in the midsts of bankruptcy and on the backs of shareholders/debtholders but the unions should be shouldering the blame? and this article is written after the debacle at American where the execs golden eggs were hidden from the unions until AFTER the vote?

Ild, Unions aren't the problem. Stupid, greedy management is not even the problem. Competing in an industry that is a natural monopoly is the problem.
