lurqer dude-

Not given much of a chance by the pundits.

did you see his website? i went there and was
amazed at the way he is using the "net" to its
full potential. the weblog and the "meet up 2004"
stuff is very, very smart... grassroots and a
new term called "netroots" that links supporters
in their own communities and all over the country.
don't bet against this guy. i would not be
surprised to see him carry forward the use of
the internet to listen to people all over the
country and the world during his administration.

from here on, government by the people and for the
people has to listen and be responsive to the people
or it will not survive. the internet allows instant
input and instant information for an administration
to operate democratically.

in 1960, JFK wasn't given much of a chance of beating
RMN either but JFK learned how important the new
medium of television was to become in the election
and campaigning process. in 2004, the internet will
be the new medium that reaches the voters on the
personal level. i think anyone who ignores this
or is slow to realize its importance in the next
election is foolish.

TV made it much harder to lie or deceive the public
than it formerly was. either you had to BE honest
or you had to be able to LOOK honest. now, in the age
of the internet you have to BE honest. the internet
makes it much more difficult to deceive because
you have millions of people ready and willing to
refute mistakes or lies - and i'm not talking about
obsessive-compulsive rebuttals with adjectives in
triplicate and allegations posted in all caps, bolded
and in large fonts - those are ignored because they're
obvious emotional over-compensations for a lack
of substance... or the even less effective childish
replies that resort to demonizing with evil names and
phrases like "Bush Hating Morons" or "The Hate America
First, Hate Bush More Crowd". i'm talking about the
posting of "verifiable, factual information"
(unfortunately, some have even given that phrase a bad
rap by claiming that it's what they're posting. you
can't CLAIM that - it has to be self-evident
or it's worthless drivel - duh...)

viva la nueva internet gobierno modelo!
