If the lower-level officers had chemical weapons, where are they? Are we to assume that every single officer schleped them out to a hiding spot before surrendering or putting on his civilian clothes? Every single one who was hoping to cut a deal with the Americans instead took time to pick up the chemical shells and bombs entrusted to him while leaving all the tanks, rockets, and rifles behind. Maybe Zumwalt sniffed one too many uranium shells.
