Yes, and Clinton removed the most dangerous dictator in all of Europe. I would argue he wasn't dangerous, certainly not to us, whereas Saddam clearly was. That said, I have no problem with what Clinton did in Kosovo. However, it is historically significant to keep in mind that it was purely nation building and presented no significant threat to us. They do? Well, then, its much harder to please me. Simply, taking out a dictator doesn't do the trick for me. I recognize that. As I mentioned previously, this is complicated stuff that requires an understanding of human nature which not all people possess. Sorry. Really? How is this different from Yugoslavia, Kuwait 1991, Korea, Vietnam etc? Well, the by-product of freeing people looks the same. But the principle purpose, which is the security of the American people, was not a factor in any of the places you mentioned. I agree that al Qaeda has been damaged but a fraction of 9/11? I doubt it. You can doubt it all you want. I think any objective look at the situation readily reinforces the fact that they are not able to operate. This statement is so fucked up and so misrepresents the facts, it makes me question your sanity Other, knowledgeable people agree with me on this. Now is the best opportunity in modern times for peace in the Palestinian conflict. You'll hear that from such Republicans as Kissinger and such Democrats as Woolsey. It is an absolute, indisuptable fact.
