For the comprehension-challenged, the difference here is that in one case there is an outside cop (mine) and in the other (yours) there isn't AND in yours the situation is restored to what it was BEFORE the Arabs got their butts kicked. The Arabs would have to be total idiots to turn down a deal like that. The Israelis would have to be total idiots to accept it. And they wouldn't, so your right back to the current situation.

In case you missed it, Israel started the 1967 war.
In case you missed it, the Arabs were going to. They made it quite clear. They said they were going to push the Jewish dogs into the sea and started massing their armies on Israel's borders.
The Israelis were simply ready to rumble first and saw no reason to allow the Arabs to complete their preparation.

You mean the borders of 1967, from which Israel destroyed the armies of all of its surrounding countries and vastly increased its borders?
Yeah. At the cost of spending a large fraction of GDP on defense, having to be ever ready for war, and having lost a significant fraction of its manhood in the wars with the Arabs.

The Palestinians - whose land is being discussed - did not fight in the 1967 war. It was a war between Israel, Egypt, Syria, and Jordan.
OKAAAY. Who are the Palestinians? Let's see, there's Gaza. That used to be part of Egypt.
There's the West Bank. That used to be part of Jordan.

But the Palestinians didn't fight. I guess Illinois didn't fight in WW2 then, either.
