"Peru used Bolivians and Guatamalans dressed as chile beans to attack Americans and American chile carne carne in Wichita Falls. Peru used this deception for two purposes. The first was an attempt to turn Texas public opinion against the state culinary icon and the second was to provide Peru with a pretense to replace red beans with Lima beans. The first failed because Texans don't like meat in their chili and Arkansas intelligence caught the Lima beans and proved that they were not red beans. But Peru used Arkansas' cultivation of Lima beans to spray some 100 acres of Lima bean crops near Texarkana and then, with the help of West Virginia and Indiana, invaded Lima, Ohio to establish a bean beachhead."
