US support for Israel predates the extent of wealth built up by Jews. The Jewish homeland has received the support of Americans, opinion polls, politiicians of both parties, liberals, conservatives, with higher percentages than most Presidential victors.

It has withstood attacks by reasoned opponents as well as hate filled bigots, some of whom populate these threads. I suspect that the moral component is more opinion in driving American public opinion than the Jewish dollar sign.

Good. We are going somewhere. Now what's this "Israeli expansionist imperialist" bit ?

I have heard of it hundred of times in the Arab, USSR and even Chinese press since the sixties: the three words always associated, followed be "with their US valets"; or in the opposite order, just as well.

But I hear no Israeli advocating any of this, and I live among them.
I'd say that most Israelis dream about perpetual peace instead. They all sure know what perpetual conflict is about.

Finally, the Israeli do hope that America is/will be drawn into a strong peace process, as the USA are needed for it to reach its critical mass, and Saudia nor Iran can't stand (afford?) that concept. Or Syria btw, they'd loose Lebanon and "prestige" immediately, and that's the only assets they have.

Read the Israeli press or the US one. Find and post those who advocate a "greater" Israel, besides a couple of rabbis who still think the planet is flat and are not corrected out of respect for their senility.
