edit: I suppose what I am asking is, "Why does it work?" Because it appears to - as a form. The ABC down is three distinct waves, albeit the C is very much foreshortened in either case. The wedge is the same in both - and, if you recall - the earlier wedge counted out five at the end (the abcde of my label). I have seen no other count so simple that fits.... perhaps I change the 1-5 up to abcde... and I grant that proper procedure separates the hacks (me) from the experienced... but all the same, e, then down...?
