Bill O'Reilly, our best hope for peace, thinks thumbing Canadian noses at an American kids' hockey team is justification for a pre-emptive strike against Toronto. It isn't pre-emptive if it is in response to some action -- sort of like our recent return to Iraq. Complicated, but I think you can understand it. You know what's sad.......and its typical of a hatefull asshole like O'Reilly......is that shortly after the incident with the American hockey team, the Canadians cheered an American team in another event to make up for what they saw as bad manners. However, O'Reilly doesn't bother to point that out. Instead, he encourages isolation and fosters more hate. Why do you think that is? As to boycotting Canada, I say we go for it. They elected a total nitwit, but I don't hold that against the Canadian people (just as I wouldn't hold Chirac against the French). But when the people begin to SUPPORT these idiots, it is time for Americans to vote with our feet. And you're a nitwit for boycotting Canadian products. What's with you all that you can't take a little disagreement when you propose something controversial? You all need to develop a thicker skin. Susan Sarandon, an actress whom my wife has always liked, was on no fewer than 3 movies last night. She would not watch ONE of them. And I wonder who she punished....herself or Susan Sarandon? If Americans will behave responsibly and turn away from these foreigners who support our enemies, I believe they will quickly put their financial interests before their disdain for our superior ways of life.</I. Excuse me but we would end up boycotting most of the world.....after all, the coalition of the willing is not all that big and I would not want to limit my product purchases to just them. I LOVE to see a creep getting his. And the "French" and the "Canadians" have, pretty much, behaved like "creeps" in my view. Americans cannot boycott products from every country that disagrees with them otherwise you'll be eating Spam, Velveeta, burgers and freedom fries and washing it down with your tasty national beverage -- Coke -- for a long time to come. If we are to have a successful global economy then I think those points cited by Mr. O'Reilly in his article are quite frivolous. I mean, we wouldn't want to talk about the Chinese (favored nation status, WTO stamp of approval etc.). The Chinese are quietly sitting on the sidelines waiting for the rest of the world to implode around America. Who cares about Susan Sarandon and/or your wife? By the way David: the entire anthem booing situation was started by Americans booing the Canadian national anthem at a different sporting event and more to the point: who cares about a couple of hundred drunks? As usual, according to you, the whole world is supposed to follow America blindly. It's those neocons that wrote the new American order so don't think that the rest of the world is not going to change. You are also forgetting, as is Bill O'Reilly, that some Americans are ratcheting up the rhetoric as well. Mr. Bush canceling his trip will only inflame things further.
