Well, that's a disappointing conclusion to reach. Note my use of the term "negotiable" vs. that of the author of the quoted editorial ("But not this issue..."). That's my point.

He (and the others) certainly have the right to their opinions, but I think it's a bit odd for members of a party espousing to value freedom to - yes - decree certain viewpoints as necessarily exclusionary.

Are my opinions 'decrees'? I guess that's for you to decide - I'm flattered if you think so - but most people, most of all myself, believe that they're just another perspective, not worth much more or less than anyone else's. :-)
