We pay the ME for our oil. The oil we buy heats the homes of 40 million American children. The money we pay for it buys food for 40 million ME children. Do you want to freeze and starve 80 million children?

did we import ME oil under Peanuts? How about Billy Bubba? all Billybubba did was make us MORE dependant on ME oil. 'Liveshot' would do the same, in cutting off many drilling possibilities, even more oil would have to be imported.

How many people need to die for US sucking up Arab oil? Over the years and decades, add up the casualties. They run into the thousands of US servicement, diplomats, hundreds of billions in defense and intel costs, huge economics costs surrounding Middle Eastern strife and war (like the 9 months Bush just took to make war = 9 months of global economic paralysis) and let's include 9-11 in this too, plus any other terrorist attacks. Bottomline, they are aimed at us because of oil. Israel too, but if not for oil, terrrorism would be a much more minor problem, except perhaps from Timothy McVeigh type Clinton haters. The #2 worst terrorist attack on our nation the Bushies would like to forget.
