Do you honestly believe that all French, German and Russian citizens oppose American foreign policy based on their governments financial interests? Sad.

You don't understand.....it has to be that. This war was a moral and just war sanctioned by God. Forget that the Pope was against it........the Vatican's hand are dirty with oil as well. Don't you see.......there is no other justification for opposition other than financial.

Man, that statement is so dumb I don't know where to start

Well, if it is so damned dumb why don't you just tell me where I'm wrong. As far as I'm aware, about the only thing we really have to have from anywhere else is oil, and in a pinch we could simply drill up in ANWR.

Do you honestly believe that all French, German and Russian citizens oppose American foreign policy based on their governments financial interests?

Of course. Clearly, the war was the correct and righteous thing to have done; no thinking person would argue otherwise today (actually, no THINKING person would have argued against it in the first place, but that is another matter).

The reality is these other nations were owed billions, not by Iraq, but by Saddam Hussein, and they knew damned well they wouldn't get it -- and we need to see to it they don't.

Since you asked the question, and I've already given you a response, I'd like to ask you one.

What logical, humanitarian reason is there for these three nations to object to the lifting of sanctions and reinstatement of food-for-oil? After the US freed the Iraqi people, we have seen the truth in Iraq and it is horrible. Saddam was killing thousands of his own people, MONTHLY, by neglect and starvation, so that he could hoard American dollars, build palaces, live in luxury. Today, these people need the sanctions lifted. Yet the nations you mentioned are opposing it.

This is but one more example of these nations putting their own financial interests before those of the humanitarian cause in Iraq. I don't think for a microsecond that the French people will support this idiot Chirac when these facts are brought to their attention.

My question: What possible motivation do you think they could have for this position?
