Hi Jay: it looks like a public image disaster for China. Also because they started to move their butts for external (the media pressure) and not for their own reasons (concern and responsibility coupled with the position).

One thought on SARS: everybody is hyperventilating on mortality of this decease. What about the epidemy as such? Imagine 10, 20% of the workforce worldwide taking a two-week (two-month?) sick leave...

This could eventually be the cause for our oh so patiently expected recovery.
