There is no rape but the problem is of course that their children have a greater chance of birth defects. You have to define "related". If one is a lineal descendent or sibling, I would have to say it ought to be illegal. The more difficult issues come up with the Woody Allen scenario (step children) and first cousins (when I lived in Dallas one of my clients' divorced and she married her first cousin, which I thought was strange). Second cousins and beyond, I think there is probably enough distance. Homosexual activity is illegal in many states I don't believe it should be. Age of consent This is tougher, because some people are older at 17 than are others. If you have to draw the line with chronilogical age, as I suppose you do, 18 is probably a good number. Should it be illegal or legal everywhere? Legal, but regulated, and not on the street. Porn - Generally governments have been allowed to ban obsentity not just kiddie porn. But the definition of obsenity is not very exact. I just think it shouldn't be banned; but kiddie porn and porn depicting brutality or violence ought to seriously banned and seriously prosecuted. Oral Sex - It is illegal in some states under the sodomy stautes. Strange, but true.

I don't believe incest is consensual, and therefore can and should be outlawed. It can be. When people think of incest they think of stautory rape. But some people (not many I hope) have consensual sex with relatives. Its funny...there is such a taboo on the subject that I was struck on how reasonable you made it sound. Frankly, I don't know how to think on the subject. Other potential grey areas - When it comes to sex, we have so many grey areas. How we manage to keep turning something so enjoyable into something so dirty is beyond me. ted
