Fact: average worker gets about 40% taken out of his/her paycheck upfront. It is difficult to get that tax refund too. Fact: if you're rich (as I have I have been 4-5 years) you dont have anything taken out upfront, you can use all kinds of tax write-offs and fun investments (including vacations in Tahiti with your model girlfriend) and pay 25% or less. Fact: the IS is already a tax haven for the rich. They come here from all over the world to escape taxes. So why not make the very rich pay for our military? After all, they are the real beneficiaries. And only a few of them like John Kerry fight in the wars, take bullets or die. The GOP's biggest mistake now is siding with the fattest cats and actively fighting for them. That will bring them down next election when matched with the terrible economy.
