GW Bush hardly worked at all until he was elected Governor. His Harken and Texas Ranger deals were sweetheart politically-driven gifts from investor friends of daddy, giving him the opportunity to make millions without ever have to go to the office or put in a day's work. They used his name and political influence. Harken failed, found no oil despite daddy's Arab contacts, and Bush took out $800,000 right before the stock crashed. (insider trading) He got a $10,000,000 chunk of the Texas Rangers for an investment of about $800,000 he didn't have to make for years. The Rangers group also used Bush's influence to land-grab from small private owners all the turf they needed to build a stadium. Some land rights advocate huh?

Bush basically coasted. Until George Schultz of Bechtel came to him and told him "they" wanted him to run for governor, Bush was a drinker, malingerer and his main goal was to someday be baseball commissioner. Bechtel by the way just got awarded the largest deal of the Iraq Post-War
