Money Supply all depends in what context you are looking at it. See a post I made about it showing the 3 charts of MZM in pure Dollar terms, annual percent rate of growth terms and percent of change from a year ago using the charts from the Monthly Federal Reserve Economic Trends report to see the differences.......

I read many Money Supply articles also, but here is my view
most MZM articles I read mention data from 1995 to today
or from 2001 when the Fed began the historic easing, to today
or a more recent bunch of data from last summer to today

we have begun to see a reduction in loans, which appears to have overtaken the increase in Fed monetization

this could be either a reduction in Mastercard consumer debt extension, or a reduction in home equity debt extension
perhaps a winding down of mortgage refi cashouts
dunno which, maybe all the above

the turning down in MZM seemed to be only in the last couple months
something dire is underway since the new year began
of course, it will 95% of the economist community off guard
those guys are rear-view mirror analysts who miss every turn
and usually miss most straightaways

my considered and written opinion on economists:
"A Statistician's Indictment of Economists"
I focus mostly on inflation as a butchered concept when I get specific
the focus could easily be on misguided definition of wealth
we have become a nation of economic illiterates
