Dear Charles: Here is some excerpts from a talk by a securities analyst with Nutmeg Securities on 4/21. JDN

TWST: What is it that you see in Sun?

Mr. Labe: I think they have more to offer than what people think. The conventional wisdom is that standards-based computing, whether it be Windows or Linux, are going to mean the demise of Sun. The Intel microprocessor is going to hurt them. There are 100 different reasons why they're going to be hurt. IBM is going to compete at the mid-range. And there are just all kinds of other things. But I think somebody forgot to tell that to Sun because I think that Sun actually has a pretty sound position in the market and they're selling so cheaply. Sun is selling for $1.50 of cash and selling for $2 over cash. It's just an awfully cheap stock. And I'll tell you what - when the market turns, it's going to turn for them too.

TWST: As you said, most investors are kind of negative on it. Where are the opportunities for Sun as you look out?

Mr. Labe: I think they're going to try to make the cost of network computing the cheapest it possibly can be and they're going to try to bring all the pieces of software to bear into as unified a position as they can and offer a better, lower-cost solution. It doesn't sound like much, but that's actually very hard to do.

Justice delayed is justice denied, after all.

Justice, in this particular case, will result when this ridiculous suit is tossed out (which will happen on appeal).

If you continue to justify holding SUNW shares with the pipe dream fantasy of SUNW extorting mass quantities of $$'s from MSFT and getting the courts to strangle them to benefit McSquealy's outfit, then you probably believe in the Easter Bunny and Tooth Fairy as well.

It ain't gonna happen. If SUNW had put as much effort into innovating as they have in litigating, their stock would still be up in double digits.
