The puzzling fact is that Europe is in much more dire economic situation than the US. The wild swings in currencies indicate IMHO that there is no consensus on either side and the currency markets are taking their clue from political events instead of economic fundamentals.

180 pips range wihtin 24 hours with no real economic news only proves how uncertain the markets are.
