Jim. You said.... " Lorne, my fine little subsidized wheat loving Western-Canadian friend, how can a whole nation un-learn what they were preached in the TALMUD? "....

Make that Northern Ontario Canadian, don't much care for wheat or bread.

When you speak of " a whole Nation " you mean the state of Israel correct? As for them un-learning the talmud...good point. Just how do they un-learn something they have been taught from birth? How do people un-learn what they have been taught from birth and know to be the truth? Pick any religion taught from birth....How does one de-program?

At the present time it is islam that is the big problem and for anyone who thinks that islam is not a problem just look around the world ....how many conflicts are a result of islam aggression?

Jim,

"how can a whole nation un-learn what they were preached in the TALMUD?"

Not the same thing. Lorne's point was that young children are being indoctrinated politically to hate. Furthermore, to my knowledge, the Talmud is not a doctrine of hate. Maybe you give us some examples of what you mean by your above statement.

Also, it should be noted that the majority of Jews in Israel are secular not religious. In my conversations with Jewish friends I have found that none of them believe in sustained conflict with the Palestinians. They would all like to see a negotiated peace. That doesn't sound like hate to me.

On the other hand, judging by some of the Palestinian supporters on this board, there is nary a one that wants to see peace in the region that doesn't include the destruction of Israel.
