There is probably some truth in that but there is also a lot of truth in the fact that most American deaths at the hands of terrorists had little connection to Israel or the Palestinians. Domestic terrorism has just about nothing to do with Arab/Israeli issues, and Al-Qaida issue is the fact that US soldiers "defiled" Saudi, and generally hatred of American cultural, military and economic impact on Islamic countries. In any case pulling back suddenly from the Middle East in response to terrorism will only make the terrorists and potential terrorists think that terrorism works. Tim
