Your statement just means that the Canadians and Mexicans are just as cynical as Western Europeans. 76% of the British, 73% of the French, 71% of the Germans, and 61% of the Italians believe that the Iraqi people will be better off as a result of the war.

59% of the British, 46% of the French (vs 37%), 56% of Germans, and 46% of Italians (vs 27%) believe the Middle east will be more stable as a result of U.S. action.

I believe that the Iraqi people will see far more of the oil revenues than they did under Saddam. I don't know if the Iraqi's will see most of it...that depends on people like the French, Germans, and Russians - owners of Iraqi debt.
