Don't know who Derbyshire is, nor whether I should be terrified that he did a rant on "guys like me" whoever that is. But, of course, we can not go down these roads very far. C2 is waiting just around the turn to tell us, as he already has, that we are not doing foreign affairs. I thought about inviting him into our little group but decided he had more humor than either of us. Which surely disqualifies him. But, of course, I can't resist a couple of pops. 1. Derbyshire is clearly one of those guys who only gets his own soulmates right; his portrait of folk he doesn't like is not even crude. But then absence of humor again. 2. As for the Holmes business, no doubt it's a great deal more complicated than you put it. A little like saying the Dems are objecting to Estrada because he is Hispanic. Well, perhaps we should deep six all this, again as deference to c2. Your turn for a reply and I'll do try to discipline my fingers to shut up.
