If they don't get out of Bush's way on the economy, they will be carrying shitty growth rates through the 2004 election, and trying to explain their filibusters away. I don't think that will happen. The Dems, desperate to get re-elected to the Senate,will cave on taxes, much to the shock of the left wing press-so you heard it here first. You see, it's one more revisionist bullshit story that Bush 41 lost because William the Bastard talked on and on about deficits. Bush 41 lost because he broke the conservative public trust on preventing tax increases. The conservatives stayed home, and he lost his second term. Bush 43 watched that, and like the rest of us, pays no attention to the left wing liars and revisionists. It's not ABOUT deficits. It's NEVER been about deficits. To paraphrase: "IT'S ABOUT TAXES, DUMMY"

Moderates supported the war with reservations. Those reservations now are proven to have been right on the money. We needed more coalition partners, more planning for post-war and could have let the inspectors do their work for longer. Dont criticize the critics of the Bushie go-it-alone policy. They were trying to save us money, allies and US lives. Those on the far left who protested are a small minority. Only the right-wing talkshow hosts care about them, dishonestly using them for their own purposes to try and smear moderates, liberals and globalists alike. But guess what? That's a big majority of voters when you put them all together.
