Obviously they want continuing conflict, pure and simple. If the Shiia majority takes control there'll be major bloodshed on a scale not produced by either Saddham or Rumsfeld.

Creating of course a perfect opportunity to crack down with total control with Bush-supplied troops and weapons.

Same ol' same ol'.

Except as predicted by Alex Jones, we in the US are in for a treat of some sort of home-grown nuclear/smallpox terrorism, to keep protesters in line w. declaration of martial law, and the tv pundits will all say, "gee, please take away our rights! thank you thank you !"

ROUND UP THE USUAL SUSPECTS

Re: And will the torture chambers be filled again, with the new opponents of the new regime?

Of course not. The Department of Death has maintain two ministries intact, or nearly so. The Ministry of Oil, and the bulk of the records of the state secret police. So, we'll be rounding up the old opponents, once again.

And we'll have plenty of time. The U.S. isn't going to leave Iraq until we drain 90% of the oil out of the nation. That will be decades during which we'll continue to fight a low-grade war of attrition on the populace by keeping them malnourished, providing tainted drinking water, keeping the medical system broken, keeping those pesky NGOs who won't succumb to working for DoD as slaves out of the country and generally making sure Iraq never, ever gets up off its bended knees.
