I guess quite a number of SARS patients fully recovered after using steroid, anti-viral agents, and antibiotics (in early stage).

One way for Taiwanese doctors to judge whether it was SARS or regular pneumonia case, at the beginning, was to see whether antibiotics worked. And then they found out they were wrong, because a couple of released patients returned as confirmed SARS patients. And no doubt, they might have infected others during the release.
