Let me ask you a hypothetical question. If Israel had been the close ally of the Soviets (and later Russia) and US had been the ally of the Arabs, do you still think OBL would have resented American troops in SA enough to call on suicide missions against US?

I am often amazed of how people fail to connect the issues to one another. I once saw a documentary called "bomb makers". It covered WMD production facilities in several countries including ours. When an engineer was asked if he has any concerns that he may be contributing to the death of countless civilians, his answer was no because all he is doing is monitoring process controls. In fact, just about everyone in that factory denied they could be held responsible for the bomb because not one of them was "building" the bomb; they were receiving supplies, fastening nuts and bolts, monitoring the clean room, etc, etc. They failed to take credit for the end results of their collective efforts.

Similarly, I see so many people blaming things a bit on this a bit on that, some are the democrat's fault, some are the republican's fault, some is because of CIA, some is the fault of greedy politicians, some is the fault of the Cold War, but there is no collective responsibility. Well I am sorry but that is not how we as Americans are being judged. Support of Israel is a very big part of it. Support of corrupt regimes that are loathed by their people is another part of it. Having troops in SA and elsewhere is yet another part of. Collectively they are a very big part of the problem.
