The dollar dropped 22% from the high so far on net foreign investment of 450 billion per year last year (which was offset by the record trade deficit). Investment was in bonds only. Guess what happens when they sell over 6 Trillion cummulative in bonds + some 20 Trillion currency derivatives that blow up in the process? Pre-bubble level is 60.

Dow/gold ratio is going from 42 at the bubble peak to 1. I expect Dow and gold to meet at 3000.

The Fed has discovered a brilliant financial engine - just print and support asset prices. Lasts forever, doesn't it?
