If you have other resources that you can share on the topic I have no "resources" whatsoever. I knew the US aid to Israel is substantial, but I did not know much about its size. That is why I was asking about the subject, actually. thank you for your referral to Lord Kinross's "Ataturk". No problem :-) I am happy to see you like it. I had read it about a decade ago, when I was sort of obsessed with the rise and fall of empires, the Ottoman Empire in particular as one of the later day empires and quite particular among them all.
