I guess that just shows how naive you are. Since the nuclear bomb was invented in the early 1940s, most wars have been fought by the U.S. for economic and strategic reasons. Certainly, the first priority when waging a war in the Middle East is OIL.

Do you really think our great leaders give a rats ass about the common man in America? I really don't understand the disconnect in people's thoughts. I mean, the wealthy elites don't care about the commoners in many respects, that's way they lay them off at will and are constantly battling to reduce their benefits (like this latest proposal to do away with time and one half) and standard of living (by reducing things like workers protections) all in the name of the allmighty PROFIT. What makes you think the "powers that be" would be truthful about their reasons for waging war?

If this war against Iraq wasn't about OIL then why the hell was the OIL ministry protected while the other government buildings like hospitals and measeums were allowed to be ramsacked? Use your brain. Put two and two together. Obviously our interests lie with the OIL. Look at what the government does, not what they say. It's called propaganda.

I is my long held opinion that Clinton, due to his background suffered some type of Psychosis. He had some need to be liked by everyone, thus he feared upsetting anyone, including our enemies. Sadly, instead of being liked, he became laughed at by our enemies and America was weakened as a result. Now, we got a leader who only wants to do the RIGHT THING. Whether one agrees or disagrees with his decisions, everyone MUST admit he DOES make the tough decisions and at least up to now it seems to me they have been the right ones. jdn
