I still have this sneaking worry that they are doing it somewhere else. They've had the time, and they certainly have the incentive.

Isn't it a fairly simple engineering problem, to disperse and hide waste heat? Instead of having it come out of one exhaust pipe, spread it out over 100, or 1000. Pump it underground, into reserviors, or miles away.
