Well, then we're even. <gg> But your explanation about what really mattered to the nation at that time makes perfect sense. :) ******* Speaking of debt repudiation (and I have no idea why Kemal Ataturk would assume the Ottoman debts), I think it is going to be very interesting to see how the U.S. attempts to stiff the Russians and the French by repudiating the Iraqi sovereign debt. I'm sure that the Bushies mean to do just that. Anything else would be just too honorable for these pirates.
