I am in agreement with you. Santorum knew exactly what he was saying, though I suspect that he did not anticipate that his remarks would get such a reaction. On the other hand, maybe he did. I did some checking and he won re-election in 2000 by 335,000 votes, a 52% to 45% margin over Ron Kirk. Bush lost the state by 202,000 votes.

You probably recall that Santorum offered himself as the alternative to Frist.

He is exactly the man I would vote for. He does not feel the need to suck up the the homo community, he understands that it will be those very kinds of people that will be the downfall of America. It is beyond me to think that everyone can bash President Bush for being a Christian, and no one worries about it, and yet bitch when anyone does not kowtow to the abortion lovers and homos.
