15:51 ET Western Digital Earnings Preview (WDC) 9.25 -0.19: Western Digital reports its Q3 after the close today with current Reuters Research consensus earnings estimates of $0.21 and revenues of $689.0 mln. Lehman expects co to meet or beat guidance. Although firm would not be surprised to see a pause in the share prices of HDD companies, firm looks for WDC to continue to post strong relative performance due to anticipated mkt-share gains in the desktop. Going into the qtr, a Hoefer & Arnett analyst has cited concern over the possible pushout of its 80Gb product. During the co's last three earnings announcements, the stock has had positive reactions of 10.1%, 5.1% and 17.8% for its Q2 (beat by $0.22), Q1 (beat by $0.05) and Q4 (beat by $0.03) results, respectively.
