I don't know why you don't get this.

To me, a dollar policy change isn't something you glean from hint dropped in a speech. A dollar policy change is something that is stated and backed up by action.

Were you trading currencies in the mid 90s? I was long the dollar at the time while it was struggling in the low 80s. The Fed made several interventions to strengthen the dollar. That to me was a clear dollar policy. I have not seen any similar actions and BY MY DEFINITION there's been no change to a weak dollar policy.

If you think you've hit on the Holy Grail of currency trading by poring over speeches, then good luck to you. I've seen lots of energy wasted trying to do that and I consider it a fool's errand. Just my opinion.
