using SpyBot and/or AdAware, what I'd do would be immediately run either or both right after I downloaded from the site that uses Kazaa and kill the data miner right then ....

that is about the only way I know how .. others here know more than do I ....

and what I suggested WILL take a few minutes to run,
but
it will kill the data miner cookies

I wonder if there is some way of disabling those cookies when you are not using the site and then enabling them just for enough time for you to download what you wish to download.

I don't use Kaaza, but I noticed when browsing a freeware site that there is a program designed to work with Kaaza that removes all of the associated spyware etc., while leaving full functionality of Kaaza. Sounds like a must-have if you use Kaaza.

I couldn't find a link for it with a quick Google search, but if you search for file sharing software, it shouldn't be too hard to find.
