My rosy pink picture of the world...

I was listening to Gen Tommy Franks in the interview. He made a beautiful remark that if any nation wants to close the border, they can.

If you go to the North and I have been there several times on my trekking trips to base camps on K2. This areas can be monitored very very properly and India can take measures to choke the borders completely through electronic infra red means. On the other hand Pakistan should understand that the government pressing with the elimination of the militant threat for I think that the objectives of these fighters is to convert the entire nation to their shade of radicalism. It is not service to India but to Pakistan to shut down and eliminate these camps.

I believe there should be no border between the Pakistan-held Kashmir and Indian-held Kashmir and for 50 years it should be given a semi-autonomous region where Pakistani and Indians can start to interact. To be honest this global interconnectivity and death of distance will lead to the elimination of borders in 50yrs. It will knit the nations to such an extent that these srot of warfare will seem mundane and foolish.

Time is the biggest healer and scientific progress will help heal the scars of the border. Economic affluence and progress will help define the human condition and if Indo-Pak gave opportunity to the people then it would allow for the end of these border conflicts. If Pakistanis removed from their mindset their focus as being the citadel of Islam then there would be no need for hatred between India and Pakistan.

I am an eternal optimist and my forecast, little it may be, is based on the optimism that humanity is coming closer. We think that it is distancing itself but nowhere in human history has there been so much peace as it is now. People will laugh at this statement but if one were to examine the current condition that in the 20th century, the worst era was in the earlier half when two world wars impeded global connectivity.

If ever the Battle of Bulge would have been telecast live with embedded 600 reporters the bloodshed and the atrocity of the war would have made people disgusted. We have seen big warfares like Vietnam and in the present 21st we are seeing warfares with limited theatre operations and war is becoming an expensive luxury for totalitarians and dictators. If this kind of power of remote control would have been in the hands of Russians, French and Germans then forget civilisation indeed mankind is lucky that hegemony is localised in the Anglo-Americans peoples, the same who drafted the Magna Carta.

Utmost care was taken to ensure the removal of Saddam and I don't think that the clergy of Tehran or the generals of Pakistan are oblivious to these new developments. On this thread something we come up with ideas that are very original that become a part of the pysche of the thread. The new idea I discerned over the past few weeks of the war is that the entire interaction between a populace and its leaders has changed because of Gulf War II. Until now there was no concept of the damage of drones, remote control war and JDAM to Bashar Assad. Now the new concept is that the populace is no longer the cannon fodder rather the leaders can be precisely targetted. One must be able to evaluate this in perspective and I think that the militaries in Indo-Pak, China, Russia and France have realised that the conflict resolution is better managed through dialogue and bringing heads together not banging them.

Sandeep the army leadership is now realising very acutely that next time they fool around that the bombs are going come through the window. There can be standing armies without a stable leadership, the army will not be able to fight. Army fights on oil, communication and on its stomach, remote warfare allows for the disconnection of these factors. Rogue leadership with a huge military industry complex can be impeded immediately and imagine if this sort of technology had existed in the times of Hitler, WW2 would have finished halfway through if Hitler had been taken out. Holoucaust might not have happened and the loss of so many lives would have been prevented. Within this chaotic development what we should be looking at collectively is the green offshoots and that is the continuous progression of mankind...

Inflow of terrorists will definitely stop and negotiations will have to start. Bridges will have to be reconstructed and N. Korea knows it well that its key targets are at critical risk. The dictator will have to know that he may talk the talk but he will have to walk the walk demanded by the international community (the Anglo-American alliance). There is no doubt that the UN has become irrelevant and the French have become quite useless. It is not only the strategic superiority of the Anglo-American alliance but the stranglehold that can be imposed by them.

A benevolent world where the policemen of the world understands the need of mankind and the pressures of their own citizens is a great boon. I give due credit to the Americans about their clean job in Iraq and we can continue talking about the loss of civilian lives however that is an Iraqi figure. However the new combination of aggressive posturing and diplomacy has sent a clean message to the rogue states and the radical elements in my own country. People love their life and the depraved leaders share this trait and they want to maintain their good life. The totalitarian leaders want to keep on and to do so they will have to accept the tune of the Anglo-American world.

The left and the liberals can keep having their own agendas about the injustices in Iraq however I was just seeing a program on Iraq about the mutilated ears and organs of Saddam's prisoners as well as its massive poverty. I am elated as to the liberation of Iraq and the Arab world is disturbed if it cannot share in this joy. When we talk of the Arab world we talk of Mubarak, Prince Abdullah and Bashar unelected leaders.

Freedom has its own dynbamics and from the early days of the Iranian revolution you can see that the clerics have become more pragmatic. They may have their motives but if wishes were horses then horses would fly. However the issue is that the Shi'ite clergy does not have the centralised bureaucracy to run a successful theocratic regime. It will be observable that once the standard of living improves and the oil flowing the demonstrations will cease. Now it's quite fashionable to say "margh ba America" however once they see from tobasco, microsoft to the cocktails of aids medicine they will realise their dependence on the American intellectual capital. We can be jealous of this overwhelming dominance however we must realise that these people have done something right and have got it right. This is what continually eludes the Russians, French, Germans and Indians in their continual harping of the States. I don't have to go through the pain of abusing America since I see it happen daily but I can only shudder at the thought of the Franco-Russians in power.

All the Muslim radicals were proposing the great stance of Mr Putin or Mr Chirca, little did they realise that their stance was most politically motivated. When it comes to the display of raw power that these Islamic radicals forgot about the treatment of Chechnya Muslims or the fact at the siege of the Russian theatre the Russian used gas at their own citizens. There is a certain underlying events towards an eventual progression towards peace and congeniality and it happens to be America.

In the last decade what happened was that America was sleeping even though global peace is the business of America. Although this is true Americans forgot that peace and diplomatic conformity is critical to the eventual growht of the business. The limits of the American intellectual capital should be protected and what the democratic leadership was sitting and expecting that business was the only business of America without the strategic responsibility that goes along with it.

If you produce 40% of the oil that is sold in the world every day then it is a responsibility that the sources are protected from any conceivable threat. People may object as to why America didn't seek further UN security resolutions I think they could have taken 15 UN security resolutions but the issue is about the collective action where weaker nations want to ride on hyper puissants coattails and enjoy the same prestige.

In this present crisis the bluff was called and as the bluff is called the cards are opened and we found that some of the emperors were naked. The more benevolence and the more inclusive they become, which they have been, the Franco-Russian, German, Chinese emperors will show that they have no clothes to wear. Collision course is not the answer to society's problems and feeling bad about a hyper power is not conducive to an optimisation of our own condition. The whole world was talking about the Iraqi people, now they are demonstrating, free and doing pilgrimage to the Shi'ite sites.

Underlying all this is a constant movement towards progression, contant movement towards understanding. People tell me that everybody hates America but unfortunately it is just hatred based on jealousy and the ability of nations to bring that sort of progress. I am sure I have no idea how America pulled it all together but they must have done something. Its not chance to force a nation to capitulate in 21 days... Its not chance that the worst dictators are removed within days.. It is design and I am very sure that my country Pakistan & other Islamic nations should bury their fanciful designs and follow the Anglo-American line of progressing yoru own nation. Pray to God a thousand times a day, indeed today Islam is unchained in Iraq. Americans became a tool to free Islam and I think that it is the best thing to happen to this region that after finding a voice that at the end of the day what they really need is good water, good food and good shelter. To end terrorism it is important to stop these dictators over these critical corners and don't worry in ten years time the world will become a far better place. We'll be dead anyway and it's better to live life with a rosy picture rather than fret over possible problems.
